The Story of #hemandshivsayido

Hemali & Shiv are two beautiful souls and watching the two of them together is evidence enough that true love isn’t just confined to fairy-tales and that people in the real world have their share of happily ever after too!

Our voyage with the lovely duo began eleven months before the wedding. With the wedding festivities successfully executed we now look back and ponder on how amazing the journey has been with the lovely Shilpa Aunty, mother of the bride guiding us all throughout.

The fun and frolic for Hem & Shiv was planned over 22nd & 23rd November 2018. Here’s all that transpired in making the beginning of their life together absolutely magical. Hemali was all or boho and rustic décor. Team #gkww kick-started the DIY décor weeks before the wedding festivities.

Right from spray painting kettles, earthern pots, handcrafting origami birds, confetti cones, bangle strings and a whole lot more was put together with oodles of love to make the celebration unique to Hemali & Shiv.

The contents of their wedding hampers too were custom made and sourced from best vendors in the industry. The cookies were handmade by a home baker who custom makes them with special ingredients sourced from Israel. The kachoris and flavored cashew nuts were added to reflect to Gujarati families and destination of the wedding, cashew being a key crop of the Goan soil.

Here's a quick view of the setup we created for each of Hemali's and Shiv's Major Events!

                                                            Hemali ki Mehendi

The mehendi setup was put together in pretty vibrant shades of pink, purple and blue and decked with tonnes of DIY Décor! Pretty Moroccan – ombre printed fabric and white cut work wood panels made for the tents. The roof of the tents donned pretty bangle strings, decked up kettles, mirror strings, origami birds, for that extra bit of bling and oomph to the entire setup.

The show stopper for this one – was definitely the floral peacock executed with tonnes of fresh orchids!

Wedding Ceremony

The wedding ceremony was all about the rustic vibe. The mandap though rustic, was delicately put together with twigs, branches and natural greenery. Beautiful crepe pink drapes and minimal floral glamour added to the entire rustic look.

Reception Ready

The reception setup all chic and classy. Bold black and white stripes making a statement as the table runners. Sparkling crystals, pillar candles, tiffany chairs and oodles of red roses made for most beautiful set up for Hemali's and Shiv's first toast as man and wife! We totally loved the personal touch by added Hemali with her lipsmacking handmade chocolates. Custom shaped as Moustaches all the men and pouts for for all the women in the house.

With all said and done, we feel extremely honoured to have been trusted by the Talsania and the Mehta family to make this dream wedding a reality for their children.

The elated faces and smiles all over, post the sleepless nights, teamwork and last minute adventures make all the effort worth every bit♥️ weddings and all the love surrounding two families uniting as one is always a lovely sight but playing a part in ensuring this special moment of their lives is full of pleasant memories is a different feeling altogether and we love how the work we do lets us experience this sheer joy. #gkkw has over 100 extended families spanning the globe, we now have another amazing family across the seas!
